This is a role that will suit an experienced business or financial journalist who is skilled at producing off-diary news and analysis from industry contacts. You will be heading up a small team of reporters breaking news and producing insightful analysis on the business implications of events like cyber attacks, political violence and high-seas piracy, to wildfires, hurricanes and tornadoes. My client has an enviable reputation for producing high quality journalism with a team of journalists who are proactive in the market, building and maintaining industry contacts to deliver regular and timely off-diary news. A large element of this role involves editing reporters work, including working with quite technical, long form articles. As well as the editorial duties, you will also be contributing articles, so having the desire and ability to get to know and understand the industry is key because this is a role where you will, to some extent, be leading from the front, and it’s also fundamental to being able to mentor and train junior reporters to do the same. You will be joining a publication that has sold ambitions to become the premier publication in their market and will be working alongside a really great team.
