This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial company with an excellent reputation for high quality financial journalism. In this role you will be covering German companies who are either in a distressed debt situations or are looking to restructure their finances, this involves speaking to company executives, bankers, advisors and lawyers close to these businesses to build up a picture of their current situation. As a journalist you will be given the time, resources and training to effectively build contacts and interview the key parties involved. This isn’t a role where you can use aggregated sources or press releases, the information around these stories can only be acquired by using your networking and journalistic skills. Although this is a challenging role, it’s also highly rewarding, along with the support of the existing, and highly talented team you will also have budget to attend conferences and other events to help you build out your source base. Ideally, you will have fluent German, as this will be a huge advantage, but my client will also consider people with conversational German.
