Our clients include some of the best companies in the industry, from newswires and business intelligence companies to business magazine publishers and financial services companies. These companies trust us to find them high calibre candidates to fill a broad range of editorial jobs; from entry level journalists and reporters roles to senior reporter, investment writing, research, analysis, editors and managing editor jobs.
The main tenet that runs through our approach to recruitment is to aim to do all the leg work for our clients, our approach is focused on pre-selection rather than just putting CV’s forward. Understanding our clients and the roles they are looking to fill is key to this approach, any candidate we put forward is presented with a cover note outlining why we are presenting that particular person. If we can’t give clear and concise reasons why a client should meet with an individual then we simply do not present them. Having recruited financial journalists and writers for many years we have developed a good understanding of all areas of finance and this helps enormously when determining an individual’s knowledge and suitability. Understanding the environment and people that a candidate will be exposed to is also an important decision making factor. So, rather than farming out CV’s to a client we present a small number of carefully selected candidates for each role.
We also offer to conduct writing tests – these are timed and designed to test both English language skills, which is especially important where English is a second language or with entry level candidates, but also a person’s ability to spot the salient events that make a story newsworthy.
So if you are looking for talented editorial staff and would like to work with an agency which will take a personal and considered approach to your recruitment needs then give us a call.
