Our client is a leading global business intelligence provider, renowned for delivering exclusive, pre-deal M&A intelligence to investment banks, private equity firms, corporates, and advisory professionals worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced M&A Reporter to join their expanding editorial team covering the EMEA region.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious financial journalist to cover real-time M&A, private equity, and financing activity across the EMEA digital infrastructure, telecommunications, and technology sectors. Working alongside a highly respected international editorial team, you will produce market-leading intelligence and break exclusive stories that influence dealmakers and investors across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, capital raises, and strategic transactions across EMEA.
  • Generate exclusive, off-market and off-the-record M&A stories through a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives, investment bankers, private equity professionals, advisers, and sector specialists.
  • Conduct interviews and attend industry events, conferences, and meetings across key European and Middle Eastern financial centres.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across international editorial teams to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence.
  • Produce high-quality, market-moving content under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional editorial standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in financial journalism, business reporting, legal journalism, or M&A intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of M&A, private equity, leveraged finance, and capital markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate sources and break exclusive news stories.
  • Excellent writing, research, interviewing, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in corporate finance and dealmaking.
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA as required.
