Distressed Companies Reporter – London

  • Location: London
  • Salary: £40-50,000 + Bonus

The sub-investment market is very hot at the moment, with the search for yield very much in the news, distressed and restructuring situations can provide investors with fantastic opportunities. My client specialises in providing their readers (Hedge Funds, Private Equity Firms, Advisors and Lawyers) with invaluable insight into companies that are either in a distressed situation or are seeking refinancing. This role involves writing about individual companies, their current debt obligations and proving insight into the general health of the company.

This role has come about due to growth in my clients London and NY offices, they are looking for a talented individual to boost their team who is good at networking and acquiring sensitive information from contacts they have developed. Ideally you will have a current contact base including investors, bankers, lawyers and private equity firms. Experience writing about any aspect of the financial markets will be considered, provided you can demonstrate an understanding of how deals are structured. Due to the nature of this role my client is seeking someone with the ability to gather intelligence from contacts, this is not the kind of information you can get from aggregated sources.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with some very talented journalist in a company that is growing and has a very good reputation for detailed insight.
